Wrinkle treatment can be done through injections to temporarily decrease forehead muscle movement. Controlled relaxation of the muscles which form wrinkles often lasts 4-6 months. Botox Consideration
Botox is a medication: In-depth knowledge of facial anatomy and medical qualifications are essential for any practitioner you seek. Your cosmetic injection can be artfully and selectively administered so that regular facial movement is not hindered and your expression appears natural. Wrinkle treatment takes just a few minutes and no anaesthesia is required. Depending on the muscles treated, full effects can be seen from 5 days, up to 2 weeks after treatment.
The effects of cosmetic injection will generally last from three to four months. As muscle action gradually returns, the lines and wrinkles will begin to slowly reappear so planning to repeat treatment every 4-6 months is often recommended. Treatments for forehead wrinkles may temporarily block signals sent from nerves to the muscles. The most common side effects of cosmetic injections are temporary bruising and slight pain with injection. Although it is rare, some patients experience post-treatment headaches which fade within 24 to 48 hours.
A small percentage of patients may develop eyebrow or eyelid drooping, drooping of the corner of the mouth, or inability to use a straw, depending on the treated area. These issues can typically be adjusted with minor touch-ups or fade naturally. We advise patients not to rub the treated area for 12 hours and maintain an upright position for a minimum of 4 hours after injection.
A good candidate for wrinkle treatment is someone who is not pregnant or nursing and is in good health. Allergic reactions are rare, however, previous allergic reactions to any neuromodulator treatment will likely mean avoiding any brands and formulations of botulinum toxin types.
