Want to look younger?

What are dermal fillers?

*Dermal fillers are becoming more popular each year as the cosmetic industry makes greater varieties available at lower price points than ever before. They provide instant, impressive results to smooth wrinkles and add volume where patients want it. Facial injectable products most commonly contain hyaluronic acid, which helps to fill facial lines or restore volume lost in areas like the cheeks and lips. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is injected under the skin at various depths with fine needles or cannulas. The results typically last between 6-18 months before a touch up is needed.*

How Dermal Fillers work?

*HA is an amazing, fundamental molecule involved in the maintenance of our skin's moisture content through its impressive ability to attract and hold water. HA is naturally present in our skin, joints, cartilage and , brain tissue. Laboratory designed HA dermal fillers are often crosslinked on a molecular level that results in various thicknesses. These various thicknesses range from viscous and thick to smooth and thin. Out team of medical professionals will choose the correct product for the area of the face being treated.*

*Dermal fillers are perfect for smoothing out areas of the face in patients of all ages. Common treatment areas include: under eyes, the lips, cheeks, chin and jawline, nasolabial folds, (laugh lines) and marionette lines at the bottom corners of the mouth. HA fillers can even decrease the appearance of aging in the neck and backs of hands. HA is considered to be very safe and is naturally absorbed by the body as it wears down. This is one of the reasons that fillers are such a widely used cosmetic tool.*

What areas can be treted?

Treatment Areas:

1Lips
*One of the most popular treatment areas for people of all ages are the lips. Lip fillers have given us the ability to soften, fill fine lines, plump and balance uneven lips like nothing available in the past and this is often a simple, 1 st step procedure for many people considering facial injectables.*
2Cheeks
*Well-defined cheekbones are an important feature when it comes to facial beauty and structure. Many men and women find themselves frustrated with cheeks that are not well contoured or have lost volume with age and note overall facial sagging. Dermal fillers designed for the cheeks are thick and hold shape well. They are designed to be placed deep in the tissue, lift and sculpt. Filling and lifting the cheeks can do wonders for the face- instantly taking years away and restoring a happy, youthful look.*
3Chin
*Chin fillers have become more popular as the possibilities for restructuring and sculpting an underdeveloped chin or jawline are realized. An ample chin can add definition, improve facial profile and help create symmetry by bringing balance to facial features. For those not ready to consider chin surgery, the latest volume building HA fillers can achieve dramatic results that last up to a year.*
4Nasolabial folds
*The nasolabial folds are the deep creases that run from either side of the nose down towards the corners of the mouth. They are also known as, “smile” or “laugh” lines. Normally, this fold is created by repeated movement of the mouth. As a result of the natural ageing process, this crease becomes more noticeable as fat is lost from the cheeks, reducing skin volume. However, dermal fillers can correct deep nasolabial folds by restoring the lost volume and softening the appearance of these creases.*
5Under eye
*Under eye (tear trough) fillers create a rested and youthful appearance for people who have developed shadows or depressions under their eyes. These can be due to genetics, but are also a common sign of aging. A deep tear trough can create a shadow that is perceived as a dark circle below the eye. Tear trough fillers will help to plump up the under-eye depression as well as reduce the look of dark circles- resulting in a refreshed and youthful appearance.*
6Marionette lines
*“Marionette Lines,” are the lines that run from the corners of the mouth vertically downwards towards the chin. These lines are caused by repeated movement of the mouth, coupled by the downward pull of fat and skin by gravity. The formation of these lines gives the mouth a down turned or frowning look. Dermal fillers in and around these lines work by correcting lost volume, and smoothing away the sad look.*
7Jawline
*As a result of aging, many patients notice a sagging jaw or jowls. In some patients, aging is not the man concern but a poorly defined, weak-looking jawline. Dermal fillers are an excellent choice to re-contour and transform a jawline without the need for facial surgery.*
